Over time, that buildup reduces the draft of your slip, eventually resulting in vessels resting directly on the mud during negative tides. This is a surefire way to block raw water intakes and bend vital running gear.

Davy Jones Divers offers small-scale, underwater jet-system dredging designed explicitly for tight residential canals and private slips where large, industrial barge dredging is impossible and cost-prohibitive.

The Micro-Dredging Process

  Site Assessment

  We determine the composition of the bottom (sand vs. silty muck) and locate where the displaced material can be appropriately relocated according to local environmental rules.

  Hydro-Jetting

  Using specialized, high-pressure underwater wands, our divers break apart compacted layers of sand and safely blow it outward into the deeper, central channel flows.

  Depth Restoration

  We actively measure the draft drop to ensure a smooth, even slope that won't immediately collapse back into your vessel's slip upon the next tide.
